Take a Tour This Weekend at The Smithsonian Institution Building

The Smithsonian Institution Building, also known as The Castle, is a great aspect of the Smithsonian Institution. It highlights the history and architecture of the Smithsonian, featuring many historical exhibitions like the Model of the National Museum of African American History and Culture and Welcome to Your Smithsonian, an exhibition detailing all of the history of the museum.

The Smithsonian Institution Building hosts a few tours, and regulars highly recommend scheduling one. You can call ahead and schedule a general group tour for any day of the week. A unique behind-the-scenes tour is offered Saturday and Sunday only, but they recommend that you call 3 weeks ahead of time if your group will consist of 10 people or more. The Castle makes for a great day for any history buff, so call and schedule your tour soon!

Admission is free, and the hours are 8:30 a.m. to 5:30 p.m., so make sure you plan your visit accordingly.
